Mediation

Mediation is an alternative way of solving disputes in which a third, independent, neutral and impartial person /mediator/, assists conflicted parties to achieve a mutually acceptable solution. Mediation can be initiated before, and during the court process, as well as during the executive procedure.

Specificity of mediation as a voluntary, informal, efficient and financially economic procedure is that during the process the parties withhold total control. No one, except themselves, can make a decision about the way of solving the disputed relationship. If the agreement materializes, the parties conclude it in mutual interest, and mediator helps the parties to establish their common interest and to set up the agreement. The agreement may have the power of an executive document, and mediator and proxies of the parties can participate in its written formulation.
